Very fine and fragile hair: 1 - 10 Thin hair, easy to curl: 11 - 15 Normal textured hair: 16 - 20 Wavy or curly hair: 21 - 25 Rough hair, very thick: 26 - 30 Part hair evenly and comb through each section before curling it. Place the iron halfway over the section of hair. Spread the hair evenly between the tongue and the tube. To prevent the tips from being crimped, be sure to wrap the tips well under the tongue, in the direction of the desired curl. Wrap the hair as high as you want, being careful to avoid touching the scalp with the iron. Hold for 8 to 12 seconds. For looser curls, take a larger section of hair. For tighter curls, take a thinner section of hair. Remove the iron by gently unrolling the hair. Wait until the hair has cooled before brushing or combing it. This will "fix" the curls. Some experimentation will be needed at the start or when changing your hairstyle.
