Step 3: Colour application
Applying direct pigments (the type of colouring used in the mixture you just made) can be done on slightly damp hair (fully towel-dried).
The best way to avoid forgetting a section is to first apply the colouring with a brush on the 2 main separations: one from the front to the back, the second from one ear to the other (illustration’s blue lines). You’ll now have 4 sub-sections.
Then, continue the application by making rows in each subsection (illustration’s purple lines). You can use a wide-tooth comb to even out the application.
For an even look, apply colour from root to tip. Otherwise, leave the color out of the tips and move on to the next step…
