Mix 1 ounce of color to 1 ounce of peroxide (1:1 ratio) or 1 ounce of color to 2 ounces of peroxide for a lighter shade (1:2 ratio) and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes if applied to natural hair, or 15 to 30 minutes followed by a 5-minute emulsion at the end if applied to color-treated hair. Rinse thoroughly and shampoo followed by conditioner.
